Custom Robo Gamecube

14

Product Information. Welcome to the world of mechanized mayhem, where robots battle robots in a virtual arena called a Holosseum. Choosing from more than 200 parts and weapons, individual players (called commanders) customize and then pilot miniature 'robos' against a series of opponents.

An autonomous robot trying to take over the planet drives the plot in the single-player game. Multiplayer games offer a choice of battle type, two-on-two and tag-team matches, supporting up to four players on a single screen. Combat takes place in one of 30 arenas with varying terrain and features. Winning battles moves players from one storyline to the next. Custom Robo for Nintendo GameCube is rated T-Teen. I wish more battle platforms were like Custom RoboI bought Custom Robo for the Nintendo GameCube a number of weeks ago and I found the game to be a blessing in disguise. The game's story was meh with laughs ensuing from the terrible dialogue. However, the game's gem is its battle system.

Creating robots using a wide array of parts with each having its own unique uses, you can create a robo that perfectly tailors to your play style. While I did find flaws in the actual gameplay, the good most definitely outweighs the crap. With 2/3/4 person multi-player, a multitude of parts to customize with (and with it, never having to see the same character twice), and 1st person view after playing through the story mode, each battle will be a unique experience. One of the greats. Some games are just better than others. This punches most of the rest in the face. The concept is entertaining, the graphics are well captured, the sense of humor is fantastic, and the gameplay is endlessly entertaining. It's pretty much exactly what you would expect, in a very positive manor.

DescriptionWhen you cut ties to the past, new bonds form. Approach every challenge with positivity and fearlessness to awaken the world around you, and discover an unbreakable bond between friends. Dive into an immersive story filled with energy, exuberance, inspiration – even monsters. Then build relationships with other Yarnys in local co-op or as a single player, fostering friendship and support as you journey together.Begin your adventure in a cold and imposing land, then watch your surroundings blossom with new life as you chase the spark of adventure. In Unravel Two, create a Yarny of your very own. Unravel two xbox one.

I originally bought a copy the day it came out, and played it through the night. My friends later lost said copy, so I came here and bought it.

All I can say is that I am ridiculously happy that I did. It isn't exactly the easiest game to find. I've been trying for a couple years now.

Read our for more information! To see previous AMAs,. I'm fairly sure the DS version did poorly. I'm a big fan of the series, going so far as to play the 64 version entirely in Japanese (I don't speak japanese, I just experimented my way through). I got the DS version on launch, and it was already difficult to find anyone else playing online. And to be honest, I can understand why it didn't do very well. It was weaker than the GC one in story. The non-robo art was ugly.

3D graphics on DS were horrible, and that polishing mechanic.really didn't do much for it. Also, whereas the GC version let you salvage parts, the fact that these all had to be bought, and robos were treated as a toy. I don't know, it just felt like they weren't trying. The GC one was a murder mystery turned post-apocalypse plot. The police used robos. In the DS one, again, they're a children's toy. It kind of alienated me as an old fan. That said, I would absolutely love a Wii U Custom Robo, but only if they kind of tried to make the story a bit more like the GC one.

I've played both the GC and DS games, and to me, Custom Robo is a series where gameplay easily trumps all other concerns. I actually think the storylines for both games were fairly atrocious, but in my mind I treat them like Pokemon games. You just mash the A button whenever a character starts talking so you can get back to the real reason you're playing - the game. And the gameplay mechanics are really top notch. Everything from acquiring parts to developing a variety of styles to finally putting your strategies to the test against wildly different opponents is really enjoyable. I actually played through both the GC and DS games multiple times, including the entire postgame segments (which are where the games truly shine in terms of gameplay) just because of how deep and fun the gameplay systems are.I always loved the battle sets where you could only use any given part a single time (I remember there were some of these in GC postgame, I don't remember if there were any on the DS - it has been many years). These were a ton of fun because they forced you to really learn and experiment with multiple different styles and guns, which is where the game is at its strongest (opposed to sticking with the exact same loadout for every battle, which is not nearly as interesting). All in all, I preferred the DS version because it always felt to me like it supported a larger number of viable gameplay styles. I was never one to really care about bad graphics, but the lack of 4-person multiplayer and the severe limitations on the Download play (since nobody else ever had the game) made it much harder to enjoy with friends compared to the GC one, which was actually a pretty fun party game.

It's a pretty niche series. Not enough people play it so it's hard to find others to play the multiplayer with. You need to do the singleplayer to unlock parts and the story for Gamecube and DS version are like average anime. Not everyone can get into that, especially since the DS version made it into children anime.

Completely different audience from the Gamecube version Americans played. The gameplay is unique but the variety of playstyles don't really catch on when you can brute force win against dumb AI.
