Dwayne 2017-10-09 We have used Griswold Home Care for five years now. They're slow in responding to our concerns about the caregiver. The caregiver is with my father 24 hours a day. He keeps the house clean, cooks meals, and takes him to doctors' appointments. The price is competitive with others. We pay administration fees, but we monitor the caregiver more than the administration does.

When we complained to them, they did not check into it for weeks, and that was aggravating. The family definitely has to check on the caregiver because the management is lax. I am a current client of this provider. Jim8 2012-10-05 When my dad was in a nursing home, there was another family there that went with Griswold. They were telling us about them and then we met with Griswold. Their prices were cheaper than the other agencies. After meeting with Scott, we like them and so we went with them.So far everything has gone real well.
The caregivers for the most part know what they're doing. My dad is not a little guy. He's a little more than 200 lbs and he can't do anything for himself. He needs to be hoyer lifted in order to move him around. The caregivers they had been sending had been able to handle him for the most part.
Right now we got a good rotation of people. We've been happy with the experience we had with Griswold. We have been using their service since October 2008. My dad had a stroke in July 2007 and he was in a nursing home for 13 months for therapy. When he came home from the nursing home, that's when we started with Griswold. We got a good working relationship with the people handling our account and myself and Scott who manages the Westlake office.
Sometimes when a caregiver hasn't been able to make it, a lot of times Scott will come over and give me a hand. Things are working out well.I am a current client of this provider. Maxine1 2012-10-05 Two years ago my uncle was being released by a hospital and they wanted to release him to a nursing facility. My uncle did not want to go there and my aunt did not want him to go there.
She wanted for him to stay at home and I said to them that we would be needing around the clock aid. Griswold was recommended to us by the hospital. They took care of my uncle for about 3 weeks before he passed away. Did you know 2020 facts. He had a broken hip and and needed medical attention but they were able to bathe him, watch for him and help my aunt with things around the house. We didn't use Griswold for awhile. My aunt had been doing really well but after my uncle died she started falling. While that continued I really just couldn't leave her alone. We were thinking of placing her in assisted living which she didn't want to do.
So, we hired Griswold again and this time for my aunt. They've been taking care of her for probably over a year. She's very happy with them. The caregivers are doing all the cooking and laundry.
They help her in getting up from the bed and also with personal grooming. They remind her when it's time to take her pills.
They've been so nice to her. They do anything she asks them to do. They really been wonderful and they bring her present which she loves.I am a current client of this provider. Jack7 2012-10-01 Griswold was referred to us by a nurse. So far it's been a wonderful experience with them.
