I haven't quite jumped into the game yet but I did get it up and running on Windows 10 with very little tweaks necessary to get going. I'll list off a few key notes:. It looks like the Origin version of this game has better support for widescreen resolutions than PCGamingWiki lead me to believe. When going into the options menu in game all I had to do was change 'Aspect Ratio' to Widescreen and it listed both 1920 x 1080 and 1920 x 1200 without editing my config file.

Using the latest DS4Windows with my DualShock 4 controller worked instantly in game without additional config file tweaks. Jade Empire launched with full Xbox 360 controller support, save for a wonky analog stick setup with regards to rotating the camera. It seems like this setup has been changed by default to the recommended stick bindings on PCGamingWiki without editing the config file. I could not launch the JadeEmpireConfig.exe at all, no matter how I set Windows compatibility or admin rights. No big deal I guess since the in-game options menu seems to cover everything. Definitely make sure you edit your JadeEmpire.ini (located in your Origin Games install folder) to change 'clampFPS=1' to 'clampFPS=0' to remove the 30 fps frame rate cap, this has not been changed in the Origin version. Monopoly tycoon scenarios.

On my GTX 970 I have no problem running the game with all of the graphical features enabled, forced 16x anisotropic filtering, 3840 x 2400 DSR and 8x in-game anti-aliasing and holding 60 fps. I'm sure there's plenty more headroom for you 100+ Hz peeps as my GPU was running quite cool.

Easiest way I found to fix this was to do the following, because like many other people I don't log on to my machine with an account with admin access and so Steam will not run with elevated privileages.Find your Jade Empire EXE and send a shortcut for it to your desktop, it can then be moved or renamed to whatever. Then, anywhere you want. Create a.REG file, the naming does not matter. Originally posted by:I cant get the damn thing to work i have tried every suggestion on this list. I can play the game but I still cant launch the configuration settings without it crashing. I just wanted to play with my gamepad and the way to enable it is through those configuration settings and they just fail over and over no matter what I do. So frustrating.Did you try my suggestion. Originally posted by:here's what works when i have older games that get temperamental and don't want to connect - go into steam files and look for 'Steam.dll', and copy it.

Now just paste it into the file for the game that isn't connecting. It should work.THANK YOU.I've been trying for the past 2 days. I tried the rename of Launchers.

This was the one thing that finally did it.And, it was way easier than the other tasks.I really thought the compatibility in Service Pack 2 or 3 would work since that worked on previous computer OS. (This is Windows 10 Fix).
