Advance Wars: Days of Ruin UnitsFighterThese air-to-air units are primarily defensive, since they can't attack any ground units. They're fast and powerful against other planes.
If your opponent is using bombers in a big way, this is the surest answer, since they won't even be able to counter. Their cost and limited usefulness makes them a poor investment unless you have a Bomber problem or need to counter other Fighters.BomberThese air-to-ground offensive units pack a devastating punch. They are by far the fastest and most effective way to deal with enemy Tanks.
They're obviously very vulnerable to Missiles and Anti-Air, as well as Fighters, but if you can target those units, you'll open the way for a relentless Bomber assault.DusterMore of a nuisance than a serious offensive tool, Dusters can attack both land and air units and are great for harassing Infantry and finishing off damaged units. They're no good against Fighters, however, and they really don't do a lot of damage. You can definitely get along fine without using Dusters, but they're relatively cheap and have their role.SeaplaneThese planes are a nice alternative Dusters that can only be produced by Carriers. They offer a pretty solid offense against targets on land and air, as well as high mobility. Unfortunately they have very limited ammo (enough for three attacks) before they'll need to dock at an airport or on the carrier (or by a Rig). They're fairly cheap to produce compared to other planes, too, though this is offset by the price of the Carrier itself.

The center of the dystopia is in your DS! Check out our Walkthrough to Days of Ruin for help getting through this challenging game. With balanced, strategic gameplay, and, at times, a punishing difficulty curve, Days of Ruin can be a tough opponent for those new to the series. Even tougher are the die-hards you'll battle over.
Watch out for Cruisers when using the Seaplane, as they'll take you down in a hurry.Battle CopterWhile not as mobile or as powerful as Bombers, Copters can attack naval and ground units effectively, as well as other helicopters. They have weak defenses, but they're cheap, mobile, and make great scouts.Transport CopterThe fastest way to bring an Infantry unit across the map. Unfortunately, Transport Copters are extremely weak and have no offensive capacity. Even worse, they're vulnerable to most units on the ground. In order to use one of these units effectively you'll need to shield it with other units, or keep away from the action by using open areas like mountains or water for protection.
