(Someone probably already posted something like this, but I am still curious.)So with Warriors coming out fairly soon, I feel as if there are still some questions I have in regards to the game, and to be honest, one of my biggest questions is whether or not we will be getting any kind of alternate skins for the characters in the game.This question first came to my mind when the game was announced and they showed Chrom in action. I sat there thinking about how much I liked the design for his Great Lord class, and how I hoped it would be unlockable in the game. With new trailers out and seeing Lucina in her 'Marth' disguise and Lissa using an axe, like her War Cleric class, I am now pretty certain that different skins would be available for some characters in the game. But I still am wondering how it would be handled, either by unlocking them within the game or by DLC, and if the other skins would affect the cutscenes in game, with units appearing in alternate skins.What are your thoughts on this?.
We better be getting the other gender Corrin and RobinOther than that, I'd assume masked-Luci, TMS Chrom & Marth, and maybe Xander and Ryoma as their dads would be obvious choicesI'd be curious about what Lissa and Frederick would get though. If Lissa gets an Emmeryn-style gown but still fights with an axe, I'd think that'd be hilarious.With Freddie, I think the only alternate outfit he has is the beach event from FE:H. But I'd kinda like a butler costume for him, since he wears a suit under his suit of armour.
As someone who's played a fair amount of Warriors games, I'm going to lean heavily towards yes, there will be alternate costumes in the game.It's highly likely that not everyone will get an alternate costume. Only the ones who canonically have different outfits will be more likely to get alts. Everything else will likely be color swaps.I'd also like to point out that even if the game already has alternate wardrobes, you can still get alternate appearances through taunts.
It has been confirmed that there is a taunt button in FEW, and this opens up some possibilities. One of the other licensed Musou games that has taunts is the One Piece Pirate Warriors games. In that game, taunts can alter your appearance, such as Luffy taking his hat off or putting it on, or Zoro putting on or removing his bandanna. What I'm trying to get at here is, alternate costumes aren't be the only possible way to have your character look different. If it's a minor change in the overall appearance, such as Lucina with her mask on or off, it is possible that it will be assigned to the taunt, instead of a whole separate outfit.
